An AI-Powered Throwback to the Past
Happy New Year! Do you remember Microsoft Paint? The basic drawing tool so many of us used as children to make pixelated masterpieces? You most likely don’t use it much these days. But what if I told you there might be a reason to return to an AI-powered throwback to the past?
Microsoft Paint is receiving a significant update with Windows 11 that is entirely about AI.
The big announcement is the intro to Dall-E 3 support to Paint, also known as the app Cocreator.
Sound familiar?
Probably because you’ve already seen this revolutionary feature in Bing AI. This isn’t your typical image-creating feature. You can tell Cocreator what you want, choose an artistic style, and an image that matches your description will magically materialize.
And it’s not just a gimmicky add-on. When Cocreator first released with Bing AI (now called Copilot), there was a massive rush to use the image-generating tool. And the buzz around it? Well, let’s just say it’s been significant.
While there have undoubtedly been some bumps in the road, turbulence is inevitable when it comes to AI.
According to a report by Windows Latest, Cocreator in Paint is out of the testing phase and is now becoming available to all Windows 11 users.
Don’t worry if you can’t see the Cocreator function just yet, it’s coming. Just confirm that you are running the most recent version of Paint. And if Microsoft asks you to sign up for a waiting list, do it!
Cocreator isn’t the only new addition to Paint. This year, the app has undergone tremendous improvements. We’re talking background removal, layers – a much-requested feature – and even a transparency effect. Not only is Paint getting better, but Microsoft’s core Windows 11 apps are also getting a re-up.
How Cocreator Will Impact Your Business
Now, you might be asking yourself, “That’s all well and good, but how will this help my business?”
Imagine being able to quickly and easily design unique visuals for reports, presentations, or social media posts. Think about all the time and money you could save by doing that.
Anyone on your team can learn how to design graphics with Cocreator. Simply explain what you want, and AI will take care of the rest. No need for expensive software or extensive training.
Ready to give this one a go (It’s a great way to start off the new year)? You will need to install Windows 11 to do so. Please reach out if you need help with this or any other IT issue this year.
