Exciting Google Calendar Update for Hybrid Workers
Have you heard about Google’s most recent productivity update? An exciting Google Calendar update for hybrid workers is going to make everyone’s lives easier.
Remember back in 2021 when they first made it possible to share your workspace location with your coworkers? This takes it up a notch.
You are now able to set up several locations for any day of the week. So whether you work remotely, in person, or out and about as a mobile worker, Google has you covered.
Imagine this: you only have half a day of work before you head out to a client meeting. Your coworker will know exactly when and where to find you thanks to this new feature.
Google is all about helping us work smarter, not harder. They are aware that many of us alternate between office and remote work. This update has hybrid workers in mind.
Who Can Use It?
This feature is only available to those with a Workspace account, including:
- Google Workspace Business Standard/Plus
- Enterprise Standard/Plus
- Education Fundamentals/Standard/Plus
- The Teaching and Learning Upgrade
- Nonprofits
Unfortunately, it is not yet out for personal accounts.
By default, the working location is switched on. If you prefer that your coworkers can’t locate you (we’re not judging…we’re all prone to getting distracted at work) you can easily turn it off.
