Microsoft Copilot – What is it?

What if we told you that your business could have its own personal assistant who is available at all times to help, answer questions, and even change the settings on your device? This might sound too good to be true, but Copilot’s AI chatbot makes this a reality. Today, we’re discussing Microsoft Copilot – What is it? And how does it work?

Think about this scenario: You’re very busy. You are in and out of meetings today but need to find some piece of information or switch a setting on your tablet. What do you do?

Without worrying about what to do or wasting time, just ask Copilot.

It’s the newest kid on the block, taking the place of Cortana as Microsoft’s newest AI assistant. But what separates Copilot from the competition? Well, it can now accomplish more than ever before with its direct integration into the Microsoft Edge browser and Windows 11.

Have you ever tried scrolling through the list of settings on your device for a specific one? Now you can just ask Copilot to adjust the setting for you.

Copilot is not directly a part of your operating systems. Think of it as a bonus perk of the Microsoft Edge browser that looks like it’s part of the Windows 11 ecosystem.

When you want to activate Copilot, a sidebar will appear to the right, displaying an interface just like the web version of Bing Chat. You can adjust the style and tone of your conversation and ask almost any question here.

The best part? Copilot is contextually aware. You can ask it follow-up questions without having to repeat any specific keywords. It’s like talking to a real person.

Plus, you can use Copilot to find information from any Microsoft Edge page. Ask Copilot to “give me a summary of the page I have open on Microsoft Edge,” it will scan the webpage content and provide an appropriate response.

So, what’s the catch? Well, Copilot is just a preview included in the Windows 11 2023 update and does not reflect the final version Microsoft plans to roll out. But, they’re constantly improving the UI and plan to release new versions with even more functionality.

It is still in an adjustment period, but there’s no denying the potential.
