Twitter rolls out paid subscription ‘Super Follows’ to let you cash in on your tweets

Paid subscribers will be marked with a special Super Follower badge, differentiating them from unpaid followers in the sea of tweets. Twitter will only take a 3% cut of earnings for up to the first $50,000 generated by a paid account. After that, the company will begin taking a 20% cut. The test is limited to a subset of accounts including “creators, journalists, experts, and nonprofits” for the time being. It’s the latest in a flurry of activity from Twitter after a long period of product stagnation.
