What is the Ultimate Business Browser?
It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Microsoft has some news to share with us. We have to wonder if their employees have any time to sleep! Today we answer the question, what is the ultimate business browser? Is it Edge?
Microsoft’s Edge is growing in popularity for its security and productivity capabilities for both employers and their teams.
Edge for Business may end up being the best option for web browsing for both managed and unmanaged work devices. This is due to the fact that it will enable businesses to maintain some level of control over their staff without violating their privacy.
And that’s perfect for the way many of us work today. If you work for a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) company, Edge for Business might be an ideal solution for you.
Edge for Business has the ability to seamlessly separate personal and professional browsing in dedicated browser windows. They each have their own favorites, separate caches, and storage locations.
And some websites will automatically open in the appropriate browser. For example, Microsoft 365 will open in your work browser while a shopping website would open in your personal browser.
This means you won’t have to worry about accidentally sending a colleague the funny meme you saw on social media.
If this sounds interesting, Edge for Business is currently available for testing. But we do recommend waiting until next fall for the official release. Let others be the guinea pigs.
Microsoft has yet to give businesses the opportunity for branding, but they say it is coming soon. The anticipation is half the fun, right?
The goal of Edge for Business is to integrate business and personal activities on the same device while maintaining the privacy and security of both. With the capabilities of this new browser, you’ll experience an increase in productivity and security.
